White Pine is in close proximity to Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park and the Ottawa National Forest. It is also just a few miles from the North Country Trail that runs through Vermont, New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, Minnesota, and North Dakota.
